In previous versions of Esword I have created multiple .not files. I cannot figure out how to convert any of them to the new format. Please help.

Sincerely,
Rev Michael Wadsworth

Hey, Michael,

don't be discouraged; Rick didn't make this process easy when he upgraded to version 9. I think these steps will help you out:

1. uninstall version 9
2. move all of your .not files (and ALL of your other user created resources, including .top files) into your MyDocs/e-Sword directory
3. reinstall e-S9
4. open e-S, and be patient - it will take a few minutes

Rick made it so that the first time, and only the first time, after e-S is installed, it will convert all user modules from 7-8 to 9. Unfortunately, it only converts the first time; that's why the re-install is necessary.

There are some conversion tools; but the two most popular (Rick's and GooldOlClints [which is available here at e-SU and is better than Rick's]) don't convert the .not format, at least as far as I could see.

BeST 2.1 converts not files from 8 to 9 and from 9 to 8.  The 2.1 Standard version should be released sometime this week.  I just need to build it.

In His Name,
Ben.

Neither of these methods are working for me. Is there any other method? Thanks for your help.
