Autoupdate in development version of BeST

I just received the information that I needed to get BeST 2 to get it's updates from this website. I will be getting the update files there in the next day or so and then I'll need to get some testing done on the version before it's released.

Testing usually takes a week or so (depending upon the availability of my primary tester), so I'll be posting an announcement for the upgrade on this site and the e-sword_tools yahoo forum.

I'll likely be shutting down the e-sword_tools forum in the next month or so...

In His Name,
Ben.

UM, do you really want to do that?

Ben:

A couple of days ago I told Rick and Gordo that e-Sword_Tools won't be migrating here.   Obviously it is your call.  (I listed it as one of the core groups that won't be migrating here, due both to the size of its user base, and user activity.)

At any rate, before migrating that list here, a _good_ way of getting the list subscribers over here is needed.

Can you please wait till the end of January, before migrating the list here? That way, bugs in the invitation process, and the like should be fixed.  Besides which, there will be far more content to attract people.

For the record, I'm migrating half a dozen lists here this month, as well as both e-sword.wetpaint.,com, and e-sword.ning.com.  I'll be migrating most of the rest of the lists I moderate over here, after February.  (IOW,once I know that the process can be done smoothly, and the content in yahoogroups that is migratable, has been migrated.)

I can wait

I'll follow your call.  I just don't like having to do support in more than one place...

Ben.

Doing support in one place

Doing support in one place makes sense.  Since BeST 2.x will be available here, offering support here makes more sense than on yahoogroups.

I guess my primary concern is migrating the 3,816 subscribers of that list here.  Something I haven't worked out, is how determine who is currently a member here, prior to sending the invites out.
